I thought 2K8 was a much, much better game than 2K9.

2K for the Dreamcast was the best. It's been all downhill from there.

I got it the past two years. Last year I played all of about 10 games before getting bored... I won't be buying it again this year.

That's the last I played the 2K series - for the Dreamcast. I can remember playing it for the first time and being in awe. The graphics and flow of the game were head and shoulders above any other basketball game I had every played. I loved 2K1 as well, but after that, the series seemed to go south from there.

The NFL2K series was also badass - I thought it was so much better than Madden.

This game sucks. Way too choppy to be fun. You get thrown into animations w/o consent. Not to mention Tony Parker is about 2 mph faster than a sprinting Erick Dampier.

Yeah the choppiness is extremely annoying. Here is to hoping they release a patch to fix it.
