"I give Joe (Dumars, Detroit's president of basketball operations) credit," Duffy said. "He saw Austin as a talented player whose game is still developing. He's recognized talented players in the past who needed a little time to develop, and has given them the time and opportunity they needed to grow."

    Like WHO?

What player other than Tayshaun have we developed?

It's too soon to claim we developed Stuckey or Maxiell, unless we wanna take credit for Maxiell's current status of ... mediocre.

Okur. Although, I don't know how much of that was him developing here and him developing in that extra time we gave him in Turkey before bringing him here.

Wasn't he only here 2 years?

Wasn't he less than quality while here? Dude wasn't shit but he wasn't setting the world on fire either IIRC

He was a decent starter until we got Sheed, then he was a solid #3 big. Not spectacular, but good enough to get himself a nice contract in Utah.
