Winning breeds confidence. Losing breeds reality.
So who were the other two quarterbacks that Michigan was recruiting that decided against coming?
I'm sure they feel pretty good right about now...

Tate named AT&T All-America Player of the Week-
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan freshman quarterback Tate Forcier (San Diego, Calif./Scripps Ranch HS) was named the AT&T All-America Player of the Week, announced during halftime of tonight's Thursday night (Sept. 17) game between Georgia Tech and Miami (Fla.) on ESPN. This award is the only major college football award selected exclusively by the fans.
Forcier dominated week-two voting, receiving more than half the votes. University of Minnesota linebacker Nate Triplett placed second, with Central Michigan University quarterback Dan LeFevour and University of Cincinnati wide receiver Marshwan Gilyard placing third and fourth, respectively. Each of the players was nominated by ESPN based on their outstanding performances last week.
Forcier collected three national Player of the Week awards and two conference awards following his performance in the 38-34 upset victory against No. 18 Notre Dame last Saturday (Sept. 12). He gained 310 yards of total offense against the Irish, completing 23-of-33 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown and rushed for 70 yards and one score. Forcier tossed the game-winning, five-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Greg Mathews (Orlando, Fla./Edgewater HS) with 11 seconds left in the contest.
On Tuesday (Sept. 15), Forcier was given the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback of the Week Award and received Rivals.com National Freshmen of the Week and the Rivals.com Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors. All of those accolades follow his selection as the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week by the conference office Sunday evening (Sept. 13).
Forcier leads the 25th-ranked Wolverines against Eastern Michigan at noon this Saturday (Sept. 19) at Michigan Stadium. The game will be broadcast nationally by the Big Ten Network.
