My honest opinion is that if we dealt Tay and gave Daye the minutes he would do at least as good at a fraction of the price... this kid needs to play enough so he can quit thinking and just play.
He can shoot in the mid 40% range.. rebound some and play the passing lanes... til we get a real replacement... at this rate it's just another wasted pick.
This funk has as much to do with the Tay signing as Daye's headinassitis.

Couldn't agree more - which is one reason why I hated the Prince re-signing.

Why the fuck re-sign Prince and continue to roadblock Daye? Shouldn't we at least give Daye one season to show and prove?

Apart from adjusting to the NBA 3P line, Daye hasn't really developed.

We already have a defensively challenged big who can shoot the 3.

He's either a tall SG that can't dribble, pass, or defend...or a twig of a PF that can't rebound, post up, or defend. He's backing up the second oldest player on our roster, who should be rested more often in this condensed season, yet he can't fucking score enough to even warrant minutes at SF.

Fuck Austin Daye. He's a shooter that can't shoot right now and is thus as productive as my bed-ridden grandma would be for the Pistons.
