Thread: My idea.....

    My idea.....

    TRADE #1:

Detroit trades: Rodney Stuckey,Jason Maxiell, Tayshaun Prince, #15,#35

Minny trades: Al Jefferson, Corey Brewer, #6,

With this trade, we don't really lose cap space.

Sign Andre Miller for 3 years starting at 7~8 mil a year.

Trade Amir and Kwame and our 39 for David Lee

    Ariza for 6 mil

resign dice for whatever he wants/is left over i guess

    BEST CASE SCENARIO LINEUP

    Andre Miller/#6
    Richard Hamilton/AA/Brewer
    Ariza/Brewer
    David Lee/Dice/Amir
    Al Jefferson/Dice

With the #6, we sign our pg of the future in either Tyreke Evans or Jrue Holiday or STEPHEN CURRY PERHAPS

    Highly..very higly unlikely...just for fun..

Has Brewer done anything in the NBA yet? I don't think I'm a fan of Ariza/Brewer/AA. Outside RIP we have absolutely no wing scoring and we already know RIP isn't a #1 go to guy on the wing. Hate to say it, but with all those specialty defenders I would rather sign Ben Gordon than Andre Miller
Phil Wenneck: The man purse. You actually gonna wear that or are you just fuckin' with me?
Alan Garner: It's where I keep all my things. Get a lot of compliments on this. Plus it's not a purse, it's called a satchel. Indiana Jones wears one.

I knew you'd come around Chris.

And Cross - we'd be a little under-sized at C and PF, don't you think?

How is Amir on your depth chart when you traded him and Kwame to NY for Lee?

And you've got Dice as our only back-up big? Nothing against Dice but you need some depth.

i haven't come around. I still don't like the Gordon/Stuckey combo. Neither one creates shots for teammates and Stuckey doesn't have a good jumper yet.

But I'll take my chances with that over a group of defensive specialists.

You'll come around once Joe signs Gordon and trades Rip for a quality big.

Then Stuckey will be the creator/slasher while Gordon lets it "rip" from every angle...

IF Curry can actually get a system in place

What happened to Bynum in that depth chart?

I agree that we'd be way too shallow up front. We still have Bynum as the backup PG, so #6 could be BPA. If its a big, that's some more depth. If its a wing, he fights for backup time at the 2 and 3 with AA and Brewer. A PG better have some patience because he'll be sitting behind Miller and Bynum.

Brewer had a torn ACL last year. For a guy that relies on his athleticism for just about everything he does well, that's going to be tough to come back from. Pretty unimpressive numbers in his 2 seasons:

    MPG: 22.4
    PTS: 5.9
    FG%: 38.0
    3PT%: 25.0
    FT%: 79.1
    RBS: 3.6
    STL: .97
    AST: 1.4
    TO: 1.09

I know he's a pretty solid defensive guy and numbers don't show that, but those are some terrible numbers. Maybe he was gearing up for a breakout year and had that injury that derailed him. He had a ton of potential but that doesn't mean anything if he doesn't capitalize on it.

I'd love to get my hands on Al Jefferson, although he had an ACL tear just like Brewer last year. His game is the opposite of Brewer's: all offense, not much defense. I'd still take a very serious look at that deal before seeing what else was out there.

I wish there was a way to get Kevin Love away from them. All out hustle guy that still puts up solid numbers and plays a great game.

we would be a little thin up front, but both are capable of rebounding and scoring.

originally i scratched the amir and kwame for lee and had us just signing hedo or marvin williams with the remaining 10 million ish.

    how would this look instead?

    Andre Miller/#6
    Hamilton/Brewer/AA
    Hedo/Ariza/AA
    Jefferson/Amir
    Kwame/Dice

I guess we do get a legit scoring wingman who can create for others. PG can score and dish well. Jefferson can hold his own in the paint and we still have our defensive specialists

Still don't see the point of Ariza and Brewer. If you are trading for Brewer, you may as well ignore Ariza and use that space to get another big man. It could be a FA, or it could be a trade (amir for a larger contract).

Or scrap the Miller idea too. you'd have 14 mil to add a big man without Miller and Ariza. You could still trade some guys for a vet PG after the signing (like Amir and Kwame for Hinrich maybe).

I just don't see the sense in Brewer/AA/Ariza all on the same squad. They overlap way too much.

First, Cross, you're still leaving Bynum off your depth chart. That #6 can be any position, BPA! Yes, its mostly PGs expected to go around there, but Jordan Hill is right in the mix.

Amir for Biedrins? Amir is an athletic guy that can run the floor in Nellyball. Nelly doesn't like Biedrins. They save money.

    Andre Miller/Bynum
    Hamilton/AA/Brewer
    Hedo/Brewer/AA
    Jefferson/Jordan Hill?
    Biedrins/Kwame

Joe wins executive of the year if that is his lineup, but I doubt Minnesota or Golden State agree to those deals.
