    Laimbeer resigns as Shock coach, wants an NBA job

    A press conference has been announced for 3 p.m. today at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The Free Press has learned that it involves the resignation of former Bad Boys star and current Shock coach Bill Laimbeer.

    Rick Mahorn, Laimbeer's former teammate on the "Bad Boys" Detroit Pistons of the late 1980s, is expected to take over as coach of the Shock, the defending WNBA champions.
