That's the point, Gl'enn, volcanoes haven't done their thing in a while. The pistons spurs and t mac have been done for only three years but they are considered done. The volcano hasn't done shit sine st helens, it's done.

There are volcanoes in other places besides the U.S.

If you do some searching, I'm sure you can find a recent eruption somewhere.

Even if you only consider "U.S. volcanoes" (which the original poster didn't specify), they can lie dormant for hundreds of years and still be considered active.

active = not DONE.

Find some evidence that proves that volcanic eruptions are happening less frequently than they used to.
