With rebounding already being a major problem, going small is just plain stupid.

I'd go talk to AI about coming off the bench and then...
Start Stuck so he can be with a veteran group that can help him/cover for him a lil bit. Rip, Tay, Sheed and KB would round out the starters for me.
Then AI, AA, Dice and AJ can come in and literally kick the piss out of any 2nd group in the NBA.
In fact the 2nd group would prolly outwork the first group.
Then in crunch time, I'd play...nvm, there wouldn't be any crunch time with that lineup.
I'd put Dice in the starting lineup.
Our rebounding just flat-out sucks, especially among the starters.
Ok Sheed goes to the 2nd unit.
how about
Amir Sheed Rip Ai Stuckey
Stuckey gets AI and RIP some easy shots, we need Amirs rebounding
off the bench Dice Max Herman Prince AA
AI is not coming off the bench...at least not for Michael Curry.
Of course, neither will Rip, and those two need to be separated. You do not need two guys in a halfcourt set that need to have the floor spread for them.
Curry being a complete moron complicates things further.
Don't tempt me... Chuck Fuck Sheedy is not high on my Christmas list.Originally Posted by Tahoe

Seriously, I think he'd consider it, if it meant a championship and that he'd have great 2nd unit to work with. He's not getting any younger. If Dice and one other guy would come off the bench with him, then I think he'd at least consider it.
...except an idiot coach isn't going to convince him that coming off the bench is going to make his team better.
Larry Brown could have. Flip? Maybe.
Michael Curry? He'd get laughed at before he ever finished the sentence.
Of course, a GOOD coach would be asking his best player to be the FOCAL point of the offense, and not asking him to come off the bench in the first place.
What team in the NBA asks its best player to come off the bench?
I could see a #3 or #4 guy, ala Ginobili, but not a guy earmarked for the hall of fame, and Curry is not the guy you trust to be setting a trend like that.
