Obama needed Republicans to achieve cloture and didn't have them, so Reid didn't get the bill out of committee.

It's not a lie, really. It's the way dysfunctional Senate procedures work. There's a committee vote, then a vote-to-have-a-vote, then the actual vote. In today's day and age, there's no possibility of cloture except for yearly budget things.

I figured the LOL@Obama would be over Steve Jobs calling him a one-term president.
