Would much rather have Dyess than Samb.

Bang up job Billups has done of that...

I can't see how this is anything but a great move. I've been praying we'd get rid of Billups. Getting AI in exchange is far better than I expected for him.

Dice coming back assumes that he won't be claimed on waivers.

Although I assume (without checking) that nobody has enough cap space to claim him, right?
    Find a new slant.

If Dice gets bought out, I believe that he is a FA and not on waivers.

I love this deal. The pistons just got better.

The pistons get the best player involved and a guy that's nearly impossible to defend off the dribble something the pistons haven't had in a very long time (granted what he does with the ball after he beats his defender isn't always great but it will be fun to watch).

It also doesn't force stuckey into a starting role playing 35 a night.

They also remove dead weight in billups and mcdyess both in terms of style of play (aging, regressing jump-shooters) and contracts (billups).

Love this move even if it's only to rent AI for 1 season as it gives stuckey a chance to develop and it forces us to play our young, athletic and energetic bigs.

    Good times.

So...does AI start at the 1?

If Dyess doesn't come back, you can guarantee we'll sign a bought-out big in the winter (a la PJ Brown-type).

I am in favor of trade, because who cares, I want excitement back in the D and not I am excited again.

Scared money don't make none. We wanted a bold move and we got it. Most of the risks raised so far are legitimate but what the hell, the pistons have a superstar who can create.

No matter which of the big four got moved it was going to be a shock to the system as a fan, but hell you have to give up something to get something. A something-for-nothing Sheed style deal is once in a lifetime.
