Palin doesn't scare me. She's a distraction, and I suspect she's as much of a distraction for some Republican factions as she is for Democratic ones. The bigger problem is that Palin is unknown to most and the 4 day convention would be a great place to define her before BO can get his attack machine going on her. Even though they've gone after her alread.

If Gustav comes in, the Repubs won't have time to get the voters and her acquainted or something.
