Also, I think it's laugable that Buffalo is ranked 39th, I've been to that city countless times and each time it's been more depressing than the last.

I think a lot of the list is pretty laughable...

Los Angeles is friggin 12th? R u kidding me?

New York city is a good place to raise kids?

This list was composed by some artsie fartsie type, imo. I don't discount culture and shit as not important in a kids life, but a yard is kind of nice for kids too.

Judging from the list's contents and comments, it was done by someone using dumb-ass statistics. It's clear that little things like the cost-of-living weren't properly factored into the equation. Ahh... there it is in the article:
Best Life editors used these categories and data from the U.S. Census Bureau, National Center for Education Statistics, FBI, American Association of Museums, National Center for Health Statistics, and American Bar Association to evaluate 257 cities.
The comment for the #1 city amused me...
Honolulu, Hawaii (Schools spend almost $9,000 per pupil
...since the NATIONAL average is almost $9k per student.

    Oh, here's Flint:
The 10 Worst Places to Raise a Family (from best to worst)

    Springfield, Missouri
    Dayton, Ohio
    Corpus Christi, Texas
Flint, Michigan (Country's highest violent-crime rate)
    Columbia, South Carolina
    Waco, Texas
    Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
    Fayetteville, North Carolina
    Beaumont, Texas (Long-standing air-quality challenges)
Clarksville, Tennessee (Low educational spending: $6,729 per student)
    Sterling Heights? Uh, yeah, whatever.

    Don't forget the Greeks!

No seriously, Sterling Heights is the rudest, angriest city in America. It easily shuts out Philadelphia.

What the fuck is it with people and their goddamm precious fucking kids? The best place to raise them is wehrever the fuck you have them.
But since 99% of the world is incapable of supporting the kids they have and raising them in a beneficial way, or will get divorced, or abuse their spouse or the kid, who the flying fuck gives a fuck where you spit out the little fucking gametes?
Fuck people who think their fucking kids are any more special than anbody else's kids. 99% of them are mistakes. The REAL reason we get married. The reason we get divorced. The tool we use to fuck the ex over with. And the reason we get divorced again. They're the reason we're fucking miserable.
Serously, go walking through the mall any day and watch the spiritually dead fucks who crawl through yelling at their kid "Hey, come back here" "Don't touch that" Or this one "Go in there and take that XXX and stuff it down your pants and meet me at the All Tel kiosk"

Fuck that shit. By the way, the BEST place to raise your kid IS fucking Honolulu. You say "Oh my pussy hurts! Honolulu is expensive!" But guess what fucktard? You're broke in Happyville, USA, and there ain't no goddamm beach nearby, and it ain't 85 and sunny every day, and your a miserable fuck who has to visit your in laws twice a month or you won't get a blow job every six months from your fat ass mily white suburban housewife who is fucking her boss anyway, now will you? BUT OH NO, CAN'T live in Honolulu, and surf, and tan, and eat all that good food, and it just wouldn;t work out, so I'll kive in Skokie Illinois, which is a good place to raise children and POW SOMEBODY SHOOT ME IN THE FUCKING BRAIN NOW.
Thank you, and enjoy driving your Hick Mobiles and paying $6.00 per gallon of gas!
Winning breeds confidence. Losing breeds reality.
