The Jets have agreed to let Cowher potentially hire his own personnel guy now, so he's going to talk to them.

hmm, he turned down the Browns because they were too close to Pitt. He didn't want to do that to the Rooney's. Isn't NY still fairly close, and still the same conference too.

He apparently promised the Steelers on his way out that he wouldn't take another job in the division.

The guy is pure class.

Remember when people thought he was an offensive 'genius'?

Tell me Marshall Faulk, Kurt Warner, and Torry Holt didn't have 99% to do with that assumption.

Singletary just wants his own guy.

I heard Mike Nolan on the radio yesterday and he was really praising Martz.

Nolan said that Martz deserves every bit of the credit that Singletary does for the Niners better play, perhaps more.

I wonder if Martz should take a college HC gig for a couple of years and rebuild his cred?

He could fill the vacancy at Michigan State when DAantonio fills an NFL vacancy...in the next couple of days.

So, starting in '10 they're going to play the Pro Bowl the week before the Super Bowl, in the same stadium, as a way to kick off SB week.

Making the SB has a new perk, you don't have to play in the Pro Bowl anymore.
