If Favre would somehow be willing to play here, the Lions should absolutely, positively give them the first round pick. Even if it's just a year, it's the kind of move that could potentially change the image of the franchise for years. It'd be bold and probably not be worth the pick in and of itself, but even a washed up Favre would show that we're willing to do whatever it takes to win and change the whole attitude around here.

According to ESPN, the Packers told the Vikings that Favre was available.

Also according to ESPN, both Favre and the Packers agreed a trade would be the best solution, but the Pack told him that they weren't willing to trade him within the division right now.
