A NFL source confirmed Friday the Bengals have swung one of their biggest deal in history by acquiring Lions defensive tackle Shaun Rogers for a third- and fifth-round pick.

What a waste. 3rd and 5th are crap. It's possible I hate Millen even more than I hate bukdow. In fact, I guarantee I hate Millen more, since he actually has an influence on something I would otherwise enjoy. bukdow is just fodder.
We had subs. It was crazy.
Looking further into it, their 3rd round pick should be somewhere around 72-73 or so.
With this team, that pick should become an instant starter. Never, ever with the same impact Rogers had, but a starter nonetheless.

Wow, what a deal.
Retarded. More picks for Millen to f up...
As a Lions fan, I can only hope the guy we get to replace Shaun Rogers is just as talented as him. Whether he was half-assing it on the field or not, he was our best player, and no matter what, he still commanded a double team.
Pisses me off we couldn't get more for him. Now we're stuck with Cory Redding and Langston Moore...and Paris Lenon up the middle...what a joke
In Millen we Trust

Maybe I'm missing something, but why is this a bad trade?
It sounds like they would have been willing to cut him if they couldn't trade him, and that would have resulted in a bunch of dead cap $.
Now, they not only get some picks that will probbaly be roster players (maybe just special teams, but on the roster at least, something that Rogers wasn't going to be) but they have moved Rogers salary off the books.
Sounds pretty good to me (that is, unless, as I said, I'm missing something).
Kudos to Millen!
This just might be his year to win Executive of the Year.
