Thread: Currently reading........

I have never read much nonfiction... As far as fiction goes, I have a book called "The Closers" by Michael Connelly laying around that I need to start.

I'm interested in reading some nonfiction stuff about metaphysics and stuff...

As far as reading goes in general, I'm thinking about dropping video games and taking up more reading. Reading is a good and enjoyable way to pass time and it is much more fruitful than video games in terms of what it does for the creative part of my brain (which is an important part of me). I don't know yet, though... I just feel like video games, although usually fun, are just totally unproductive.

A friend read it. He loved it.

And E-Ray, I completely agree on the video games thing. I've been slowly weeding them out of my life. I was doing great until my best friend got me CoD3 for xmas and the ex got me guitar hero 3

I strongly recommend "Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" by Robert Pirsig as a great way to get your feet wet with metaphysics. It's chock full of ideas.

Im going to start with Band of Brothers and see where it goes from there. I am actually going to a LIBRARY tomorrow and checking out books. Good thing its not like church where I feel if I haven't gone in a while I might get struck down when I enter.

    Famous Bill Walton quotes:

"Shaq's arrogance is an insult to people who think."

Bill: "What, Phoenix? Are they still paying you?"
    Jalen: "Yeah, under the table."
Bill: "Yeah, just like at Michigan."

“Oh my, Kobe is really putting on a show out there. He’s making Ray Allen look like a sixth grader!”

You'll find some real gems if you go deep in the NCAA forum.

Finished "The Closers." It was pretty solid...

Probably next up will be that metaphysics book Swami recommended.

Read it for a Psych class. I really liked it. Written by a former pscyzophrenic about her time in the nut house.

At this exact moment, I'm reading some valuable advice:

As far as books, I'm just getting into Spook by Mary Roach, an entertaining look at scientific research into the afterlife.
