apacalypse now and godfather I are also my two favoite movies. but brando goes way beyond that. no joke, watch movies before and after brando, and the acting is completely different. the man's impact on american acting cant be overstated.

tournament of cool, maybe. but impacting the world in a significant, and good way is definitly cool. de niro doing "on the waterfront" in "raging bull", very cool. al pacino talking about how he would sneak into theatres as a kid and watch brando over and over again, very cool.

Not really. The Stansilavsky Method really changed acting. All movie acting changed overnight when the first few Stanislavsky students got acting gigs. Brando was just the most famous of them.
