Dude expires after next season, when Stuckey expires and when Monroe is due his extension.
Before the Hedo trade we coulda had approx $26 mil in cap space.. after it that figure drops to approx $15 mil... plenty of cash to sign some key piece
And surely Hedo can be a reasonable outside threat in his "final" season, especially coming off the bench
Monroe/Drummond (Slava)
FA/Monroe (2013 Pick)
Prince/Hedo (Jerebko, Middleton)
Singler/English/Stuckey
Knight/Stuckey (2nd round pick)
After the 2013-14 season Hedo and Stuckey expire... taking another $20 mil off the payroll. Unless Monroe's cap hold is $10+ mil we'd have enough money to sign another quality piece AND then retain Monroe.
It delays the "finishing" touches to the foundation by a season but I believe I completed the task :)
Daye is an easy piece to move IMO.. Stuckey a little difficult... Nova damn near impossible
Can't wait to see Vinny's deals, LOL!
He won't post any - no NBA knowledge :)
to Toronto for Calderon, Amir Johnson and Linas Kliesa.
Not bad. I was trying to do one of those "our shit for your shit" deals but got frustrated when I kept searching for rationale why someone would take our shit.
This is sort of an unnecessarily complex Trade Challenge. Maybe we should have just started with trading Charlie by himself, which is hard enough without adding Daye and Stuckey into the mix.
TL;DR
I'm pretty sure Charlie is worth more to the Pistons as an amnesty contract than he is to any other team. I also think he is worth more to the Pistons as an amnesty contract than anything that any team would be willing to give up for him.
Mindfuck.
So.. is the challenge over? Who won? And will there be another challenge?
I quite like my Bulls trade :)
Yes, you win.
I would ask you to post #2, but then it would look fixed when you win #2.
I'll get to it the next time I am inspired.
