Yeah, I have relatives outside of SD, and they're trying to decide whether or not to flee right now. Sucks.
Furthermore: I was on contract at my job, and they wanted to hire me, but the salary they were giving me wasn't that good. I went to the director to negotiate, and she tells me these things: 1. There is enough money in the budget to accommodate me, but she just isn't going to do it. 2. The reason she isn't going to do it is that she doesn't think my experience is worth the money (even though all I asked for was what I was making at my old job). 3. If I don't sign the offer soon, they're going to terminate my contract and look for someone else who has a higher probability of going permanent.
Sucks.

Being up at 5am, just generally sucks. Even when I'm going golfing. I've been starting work at 5 and back home by 9-11. SUCKS
