IT'S BETTER THAN MAKING THE PLAYOFFS
Drummond will be there representing!
We need this so badly, you guys.
Does Stern agree and will he let it happen?
7th.
^
Heel.
I'll say #3.
No way Oladipo falls to #7 like it happened there, btw.
PISTONS #1 ON ESPN LOTTERY KARMA RANKINGS!!
7th
Gilbert's kid is great and all, but I'm tired of seeing him.
damn we need to look to trade the pick...NOW.
Feel bad for the bobcats HA
Fuck off, Cleveland.
HATE zekyl/\.
Gilbert's son can go fuck himself.
Got a feeling McLemore can slide to #4.
Really don't want Shabazz...
I was just thinking, with KYrie, possibly Noels (which means more losing and possibly a better 2014 draft pick), dion waiters, Varejeo, and Tristian Thompson, the Miami Heat organization has to be thinking in the back of their minds that Bron could dip after next season.
i hope we reserved our luck to win the lottery NEXT year. that canadian kid is the franchise changer we need.
as for this year, there are a couple of guys i'm interested in but i would totally take tim hardaway jr. at #8. seriously the kid can shoot, is a better athlete and overall player than people credit him for. in 2-3 years he'll be a much better nba player than he was in college. but even still- he's the type of guy who can immediately help as a role player and with 2 bigs like g-mo and drummond, he could be a tremendous asset on the wing.
I don't like Hardaway.
Same. I did read he's impressed scouts and GMs at the combine and workouts but he would be a huge reach at #8.
Also why the fuck is Joe bringing in Peyton Siva for a workout? Does he not realize we need some spacing for our offense to work?

thoughts on this guy? minus the gay patch on the top of his head.
Really want Oladipo, you guys.
We're getting Zeller, though.
Even when Givony has him at #11?
Yes indeed. They zoned/game-planned/defensed the shit out of cody zeller this year which made teammates like oladipo look better than they really are (plus Indiana's coach is more recruiter than strategist which I believe also contributed to zeller not fulfilling expectations not to mention their point guard sucked). It's really challenging for a big man to dominate the college game anymore due to zones, younger players and ball dominant point guards that only know how to score.
Givony is usually right on with this stuff but I think he missed with Zeller probably because he's watching too much college basketball and not thinking about the NBA game. Zeller will thrive in the NBA due to the spacing, his ability to move as a big man (he is arguably the best athlete of all big men in this draft) and face the basket/knock down the jumpshot. Zeller is definitely top 5 talent and, in my opinion, the 2nd best pro prospect in the draft after mclemore. Don't be surprised if zeller has a resurgence of interest next week leading into the draft.
Shabazz is also a bit underrated and was partially a victim of a really bad UCLA offensive system/coaching staff.
I don't want any part of Trey Burke or Anthony Bennett and Noel scares me big time.
this draft is simply horrific. I know we have a bunch of guards but to me trey burke is the best player in this class and would be too good to pass. I don't care what people say- he's tony parker with deeper range on his jumpshot. would you take that for this team?
I would take burke and figure the rest out later. I don't know what you do with Brandon but I do know you try to dump stuckey. we would have a historically undersized backcourt but maybe we make another trade. or acquire a 2 guard in FA.
I dunno, I just don't want to take a player who fits a more obvious need just because. burke isn't tall but he's got a good wingspan and I believe he is being underestimated. he's a really good player, has a really high bball IQ and a really good game. so he's not Russell westbrook athletic....but he has a better bball IQ. pairing him with our monster PF/C combo, and we instantly become a lot better.
i'll change my mind tomorrow but right now, there's not much else I like in this draft.
Trey Burke says relationship with Joe Dumars makes the Detroit Pistons an even more appealing option
http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/inde...ionship_w.html
I by no means think we have too many guards. I'd be more than happy with Burke if he's legit. I don't know that we have 1 championship-level or even 2nd round level starting guard on the team let alone 2.
Stuckey should absolutely not be a consideration in who we draft (not that anyone here disagrees with that....).
burke and Bennett are the only 2 guys I think could be there at #8 that I would be really excited about getting.
who knows what to believe during draft season....but i'm hearing mclemore could fall all the way to #8. if this is true- which is hard to believe- I would probably have a conniption- that would be an incredible steal for us. in the right environment, that kid could be somewhere between paul pierce and ray allen.
it's wishful thinking but you never know. this is a very unpredictable draft. we 'lucked out' with really good players falling to us the last 3 years and this time it's perhaps even more likely. whether it would be someone as good as b-mac, I don't know.....
To me this draft is a 2-player draft between mclemore and zeller. If either fall to the pistons we should all rejoice. These are the only 2 players projected top 8 that don't have questions regarding their skills AND physical ability to play their positions in the NBA. All others (noel, oladipo, porter, Bennett, burke, McCollum, len) come with question marks in terms of transitioning physically or skill-wise to the NBA game.
Stern loving playing the heel
Got the tea, go the 'za, let's roll.
Best combo guard available!!!!
Make the fucking pick already, Zekyl. We have more important teams to get to.
Bennett #1, wow.
Shots fired!
Pretty cool to have a shocking pick at #1, when was the last time that happened?
Looks like Maxiell 2.0
Although apparently he has range.
