Ghosts are something you read a lot about all the time, from people all over the world. I've never been able to detect one, but if they do exist it would not surprise me. Buddhist cosmology talks about 31 realms of existence in which a being can be born, and one of them is the Peta realm, the realm of hungry ghosts. Apparently, beings who struggle against their earthly desires are born here. They roam from place to place with insubstantial bodies, and they try to feed their hunger, but are never satisfied. Could be also that ghosts are mental constructs created out of the fear of death. Or both.
Indian culture also refers to a dragon-like creature called a Naga, which is a deity that can supposedly take shape in two forms that resemble either a human being or a giant snake. Maybe it could be that dragons are manifestations of very, very ancient mental programming having something to do with fear of predation - you know, if you're an ancient human trying to imagine a creature way higher up on the food chain from yourself, you'd probably imagine something scary and snakelike that flies and has armor. Or both.

None of the stuff on the list really fits this category but I think the best bet for the cryptozoological jackpot is the deep ocean. Still largely unexplored, the ecology is poorly understood and it's vast enough to harbor populations of creatures that could be the stuff of myth.
Any of the land animals are a serious longshot. There just aren't a lot of places left on earth to support large creatures that we wouldn't have noticed by now. Not saying impossible, but the odds get longer every day.
Ghosts? No. The world would be a far more interesting place if they did exist and I will eagerly embrace the concept should it ever be proven. Little enough is known about how the brain/body/consciousness for there to be plenty of room for the existence of what we call ghosts with a perfectly reasonable explanation so I'm still holding out hope.
I saw an episode of MonsterQuest on History Channel which documented the sightings of the "Jersey Devil".

Ghosts are BULLSHIT. We have no proof of life after death in the first place--it's just human ego and our inability to let dead people do what they have earned the right to do: Be dead and be left alone. Again, we think we're so fucking great that even though we profess to believe in some sort of "heaven"--instead of rolling around in the clouds amongst their winged friends enjoying the presence of "god"--again, Uncle Deeber and Grampy Shlongster would rather poke about through our comic book collection under our beds.
