Well, it's a pretty simple question. With the knowledge that Sheed and AI probably aren't coming back, what do you guys think? The team lacks unity and, I think, just doesn't care all that much.

I would NOT be surprised if we didn't make the playoffs. We have mostly established vets, so they really don't have much to prove.

Full box maybe? My pm had an error or yours did?
Got it..Its ok now.
Good morning DrRay11,
Can you specify if you are referring to the players tanking or the organization?
Either/or/and.
The players know that the organization is not interested in this current team's success.
It was re-affirmed yesterday when the trade deadline passed and Joe decided not to improve the team.
The fact that they see on-the-job training for the head coach and the so-called "QB of the team" is further affirmation.
So the players are disinterested, lacking motivation, accepting that a championship is not a priority/possibility and it's made then disenfranchised/generally pissy.
I think that Sheed and AI's contract status is hovering over the team and there is no leadership from within the roster or the coaching staff.
I don't think that Joe/the organization is "tanking" per se, they just aren't interested in putting any further effort/resources into THIS team, in essence, they've given up.
"Giving up" and "tanking" are not really the same thing, but it's a similar result.
I don't think they're taking.
They're giving their best effort, they're just simply not a good team.
Hard to believe we were 7-2 at one point.
And I know that we've heard a lot of this lately in other contexts, but I think it's actually going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
I expect some MAJOR trouble in the lockerroom before this is all said and done.
Which actually could make things a bit more interesting than they are now, to be honest.
This is adversity that every player other than Kwame has NEVER gone through before.
And with our next 6 games vs. teams over .500, that could push it over the edge.
Except for Sheed, Dice, Rip and Iverson, that's mostly true.Quote:

We have AI and Sheed on this team!
If the rest of the roster didn't smoke dope they'd still be stoned off the fumes circling around Iverson and Wallace.
Stoners don't get mad, so there will be no major locker room problems.
It was annoying but that chip was like samson's hair. Now that it's gone they're just a collection of under-performing second-chancers. That grating sense of entitlement was the difference between .500 and ECF.Quote:
