A place to discuss the HOF merits of various players.
I'll start with Jason Kidd.
He just moved into 4th place in assists, all time (passing Oscar Robertson).
I say he's in.

Guys who are playing now who are in if they died this morning.
Kobe, Shaq, Timmy, Manu (international), Nash, AI, Deke, KG
Maybe: Pierce, Ray Allen, Ben, TMac, Dirk....you could put Dirk and Pierce in the "in" column I guess. Bron may be here as well.....he's already done some crazy shit.
On that list, these are my "yes" men:
Everyone else is either a "no" (Camby, Marbury, Ratliff [it was tough]) or an "undecided"Quote:

AI (points, steals)

KG (rebounds, blocks)

Duncan (blocks)
The list I posted in #3 shows that a single category isn't enough to get you considered, IMO, unless you are Kobe (he's far from done and he'll get in the top 25 in a few more cats).
Theo and Marbury surprised me. I was also surprised that Duncan is only in the top 25 in blocks.
T-Mac's a no in my book, though the NBA does put just about anybody in.
I'm pretty sure Wade is in the top 1 in courage.

Championships should be a category.

Big Shot Rob smokes everyone in that category fa sho.
Waitaminute, is he even still playing?
What about Tony Parker?
He has 3 rings and a Finals MVP...a few All-Star apperances...
Obviously he has some more work to do, but he'll be in the discussion when he calls it quits...
Good news for you know who.Quote:

I think Jonathan Bender was close. Very close.
He's foreign, so he doesn't have to do as much. The same goes for Ginobili (who's got Olympic gold on his resume as well).Quote:

If his legs didn't turn into paper mache after his rookie year, I'd say he would've been a mortal lock for the HOF.Quote:
