Official WTFDetroit Movie Review Thread

Saw Slum Dog Millionaire last weekend. Had no clue what it was about since I was dragged there by the GF and what not.

Really an interesting movie that was well shot, well edited, and came together really nicely. Basically a guy goes on to win India's version of Who wants to be a millionaire, never been done before, they interrogate him to figure out why he knows all the answers and the story flashes back to his childhood and intertwines a love story as well. Not sure if its a nation wide release yet but you should look for it in your area.

Saw "The Visitor" last night. That movie was awesome. It's a good-hearted movie about a college professor who discovers that someone has illegally sublet his apartment to undocumented immigrants while he was away.

It was really a wonderful movie. Good-hearted. Decent.

Stars a bunch of nobodies, unless you've somehow seen them in some other indie movie. Richard Jenkins is the star, he was the "late Nate" from Six Feet Under. He's perfect in this movie.

So this morning I woke up at 5:00 AM thinking it was actually 7:00 AM, it wasn't until I got in my car I figured out my alarm went off 2 hours early. So to kill the extra time, I watched National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets on Encore.

Much like the first one, I really enjoyed it, despite the corny script. I'm not a huge fan of Diane Kruger, but they made her boobs look bigger in this movie (digital enhancement?). I like her more now.

She looked good in Troy, iirc.

Generic blonds don't really do it for me.

She's very hot when she eats a little, like Troy and the first National Treasure. Not so hot when you can see every one of her ribs.

I saw Slumdog last night, I thought it was a great movie.

Makes you glad to live in America, that`s for sure.

The girl who plays Latika might be the hottest Indian girl I`ve ever seen.
