Does it really matter where on the court he's shooting from if he can penetrate any time he wants to and shoot 50%+ from the floor?

Could it be that he actually realizes that shooting 50%+ for two is better than shooting sub 30% from three and he makes the conscious decision to take the higher percentage shot?

All valid points but he's also playing with a bunch of guys that attract multiple defenders and others that really help spread the floor including one of the best shooters to ever play the game in ray allen. Put Rondo on the pistons and he doesn't find it as easy to get high % shots. With that being said he seems to know what a high % shot is.

Still, he will miss a free throw in a close game because he has that lethal combination of not being a good free-throw shooter AND a head case. Just what you want at the end of games with your primary ball handler.

Rondo is a glorified Rod Strickland with a better nose for the basketball. His stats are eerily close to that of pooh richardson's 90/91 season which doesn't give me hope for rondo's staying power in this league. Eventually guards have to develop a jump shot. Rondo is also a certifiable idiot which is why ainge has tried to deal with him on multiple occasions. Plus his middle name is pierre.
