Saw Juno over the weekend. It's a movie about a smarmy, witty, independent-minded teenage girl ("Juno", Ellen Page) who gets pregnant after convincing her awkward best friend ("Bleeker", Michael Cera) to sleep with her. Her dad (J.K. Simmons) is awesome, and her stepmom (Allison Janney) is too. Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner play the slightly creepy couple who hope to adopt the baby. I pretty much love all these actors, so it was easy to convince myself to see this movie.
Watched Pee-wee's Big Adventure last night with the Tim Burton/Paul Ruebens commentary enabled (xmas gift).
A very entertaining thing to wtach if you liked the movie (Top 5 for me, btw).
Factoid: They originally wanted Andre the Giant for the role of "Andy"
I finally got to watch V for Vendetta via some HD movie channel a few days ago. It was quite a good movie, although I thought some of the plot could of used more fleshing out. I followed it well enough, but I was just interested in a few more things going on that weren't really played on as much as I thought they should have.

As a movie i give V an 8/10 as a conversion from a graphic novel I give it a 5 out of 10. Personally I thought they killed some great things that were in the book. And trying to develop a love story between Evey and V was horrible. I like the colder more alienated version of V in the book.
Ah, I'll have to check the graphic novel out. I knew it was a conversion, but I had no idea how the graphic novel progressed aside from the movie.
Its a good read, he's also more of a prick to her in the book on some tough tough love enlightenment shit..Quote:

Denzels my man but they made him look like a pussy in the end. speaking of the end, it sucked dick. It was based off true events, and the movies so long anyways, why cut out like 50 years of what happened.
loved to see TI act and common in there.
We are having Lord of the Rings extended edition marathon tomorrow at the house. Total day of sloth.
Stranger Than Fiction -- An decent movie that made me want to see the ending. Will Ferrell was decent, although obviously it wasn't his typical role, I think he did well enough. Could have used a little more comedy thrown in... The movie is labeled "comedy" on the movie channel when it is obviously more of a dramatic type movie. Regardless, it was good but not great.
