good point. And andre miller is no star and gets no superstar calls. Either way I want to see some youth this year. Seeing them in more minutes helps in deciding how to handle these iffy offseason set ups.Quote:

I do agree about the youth. There is no reason not to see what Maxiell, Amir Johnson, and especially Delfino can do now.
What now?
Throw the youngin's into the fire and see what happens.
Last season, mission #1 was HCA. This season, we need to develop the bench to make up for our starting lineup being weaker. I know it might sound over optimistic, but there's a CHANCE that with a stronger bench we can be just as effective or even more effective of a team. We lose Ben's rebounding and defensive tenacity, but we can gain 3-4 rotation players off the bench for 48 minutes of a strong team, instead of just the minutes when the starters are on the floor.
Mission #1 for next season: give Delfino, Maxiell, and Amir to either prove they deserve more minutes/responsibilites or they should be moved for new talent. there's absolutely no reason NOT to play them now.
I like Andre Miller, but he's definitely a step down. <sigh>
Yeah, now is the time to play those rookies and Delfino. This isnt tanking the season but just using them more efficiently now we dont have an amazing starting 5.Quote:

If we add anyone else to our roster and/or Amir can step up and play some we'll be fine.
Back-up PG looks like a serious problem? Acker, Blalock, Hunter and Delfino can cover that. Hell, Prince could handle the duties some of the time.
SF is where we really need help, unless we go big or Rip plays some SF. I'd prefer we sign a SF with the BAE and go from there.
I'm looking forward to the season now. I wanna see the strange line-ups Flip uses and see if the young guys get a lot of minutes.
I agree for the most part, it's going to be kind of exciting to be the hunters instead of the hunted. On a related note, I would like to see Lindsey move to a "situational role" as opposed to #2 PG (I felt the same way last year). If that means re-signing Delk, I'm all for that (within reason).Quote:

Not sure how you could "hate" Tony Delk. What has Tony Delk done to warrant your hatred? He chose to be here, came in, kept his mouth shut, scored the ball off the bench (actually completely re-energized our bench, until the playoffs started and Flip forgot about it), didn't bitch about minutes and hustled all the time as far as I could tell.
I don't think pick #60 is going to be our primary backup PG, nor should he be, maybe I'm wrong, tho...
I hope they at least offer TD the vet's minimum.
