So AA is our backup PG, and a min. salary player is our starter. Better be one hell of a big man.

Get one back in a trade? If we're trading Stuckey for some unknown super duper big man is that team gonna send us a PG too, or do we make another trade? If we make another trade who are we dealing?
Sign one in free agency? So instead of spending our money on bigs we trade our PG for a big and spend our money on a PG? So you are getting back a big man better than any free agent we could sign? Who is it?
Stuckey is paid very, very little and IMO is a quality player that should continue to get better next season. You want to deal him for WHO?
Name some names, otherwise I will continue to think that you are off your fucking rocker. The fact that you even admit that Stuckey is a good player (young, cheap, good - what more do you want?) makes me think Mick Foley has highjacked your passwords and is posting on here.
In that case:
Mick, the chair shots you have taken in your career have finally pushed your brain into the Chris Benoit category. Go to the fucking doc and get some serious, serious meds before you do something that will tarnish your awesome legacy, cause you know how everyone feels about Benoit now.
LOL
Hey, I've been bitching about the interior defense being soft since Ben left. I still think thats most of our problem. If we can package Stuck with someone to bring in a mean big, then I say do it. Its easier to get a backup PG then a tough big.
We can get scoring from Rip, Tay, Dice, etc.
I'm not saying trade Stuck just to trade him, but he looks replaceable with Bynums improvement, imo. We need tradeable pieces. Stuckey could be one if another teams really wants him.
As far as who that big is, sorry, can't do it. I just don't keep up on opposing teams rosters anymore.
I like Stuck, but I dont' love the guy so much that I think he is what is going to take us to the title. I'm not saying Fuck that pos. He sucks. I amm saying trade his ass if we can get some interior D.
Stuckey wasn't a PG when he was drafted.
Who's Will Bynum?
You are just begging for the attention.Quote:

Anything to add about the topic, DrRay11?
GD - Yes, it's relevant to the discussion. The fact that Will Bynum wasn't this fucking good when his Draft went down is relevant too, right?
Or are we just gonna throw Stuckey under the fucking bus after 2 seasons and hand the team over to a dude that has come from the fucking clouds this season?
Mxy is probably (likely 100%) correct that Bynum is posting the same numbers per minute that he did in November - but how many fucking teams are even looking at Will Bynum and working out ways to even slow him down?
I'd say NONE - as he's a fucking after thought to them. That's partially why he's playing so well (it also has to do with consistent minutes, knowing his role and shit)
So, GD - point blank: is the fact that Bynum was not this fucking good on his Draft Day relevant to this discussion, or any discussion involving Stuckey's development or lack thereof?
I agree our interior D needs to be much improved but I think we can accomplish that without trading Stuckey, or according to that quoted post packaging Stuckey with someone else!Quote:

If you are change the proposal again I'm gonna scream. Post a trade idea and let it be.
And of course it's easier to get a back up PG than a tough big - we're paying next to nothing for our back up PG and that back up should remain Bynum next season, until he proves himself for a reasonable amount of time.
So Tay scores 20, Rip scores 25, Dice gets 15 - who scores the remaining 30+ points? Our secret big man and Bynum? AA? Who?Quote:

Stuckey is a tradeable piece but you don't move him for a big and hand over the reigns to a guy that hasn't proven a damn thing in the NBA. 2 months does not a career make.
I don't even mind that you admit you don't have a clue who we would trade him for - that's cool cause I don't know either. The difference here is that I'm not the one saying trade his ass for some interior D/quality big that we can't buy in free agency.
You put it out there - find a team that would want Stuckey and let us know what big we're gonna get back - otherwise I'm calling Dixie Carter and she can get the docs onto you cause you are DONE!
I'm all for trading the whole fucking team IF we improve. Trading Stuckey for some unknown big (how are we supposed to have an intelligent discussion if you can't name names or post a proposal that doesn't go from a single player swap, to a 2 player deal to a god knows what?) IMO does not improve the team, especially when you are automatically giving the starting PG position to Will fucking Bynum.Quote:

All this being said I would love to see Stuckey and Bynum as our only PG's next season - no veteran motherfucker for our coach to throw in there when shit got tight - you wanna develop these guys, then do it all the way or not at all.
Tahoe: you are now gonna be called MickTahoeFoley by me every single fucking time until I get sick of it (unless I don't remember) because this thread has me thinking you are an Indy wrestler and have taken a ton of chair shots, table shots and insane ladder shots to the head.
Nice post.
Yes, that's relevant too. As is discussion about drafting a PG (like Lawson) this year.Quote:

I'd like a better starting PG, going forward, than anyone on the current roster, but if we can turn Rip or Stuckey or Bynum into a legit big, then I'm game. (although I'd prefer to keep Rip if at all possible)
I also agree with Tahoe that interior D needs to be addressed.
People used to fear coming into the paint against us, and since that fear went away, this team hasn't been the same.
