I'm not sure the 1 vs 2 seed matters much. The west is so deep that it's not like you'd end up playing a terrible team by getting #1. To me it would only be a big deal if they went head to head in the WCF.

Just to be clear:

You think everyone else still thinks they can win more titles, including this year.

You just have a hunch that they will not.

I think the west has about 6 contenders and they are one of them.

Even if they were to get to the Finals, I don't think they can beat the best team in the East.

I think they're too old and the bench is too thin to play that much basketball at the highest level.

I'd be really surprised if they made the Finals, but to get technical, "the DONE. theory" is completely based on them not winning another ring.

Hence the volcanoes statement. It's a weak declaration.

If you consider me saying "I think they're DONE. winning championships" weak, then that's up to you I guess.
