If Gasol stays healthy, another team just moved in front of the Spurs.
The Knicks should have had them last night, if they weren't so "knickish" they would have.
Pop is starting to sound a bit concerned, too.
And as long as Bill Walton keeps insisting that the Spurs are still the team to beat in the West, I'm feeling better and better about them being done.Quote:
Popovich Speaks Out About Gasol Trade
Sports Illustrated -
Memphis GM Chris Wallace challenged all executives who are speaking out against the Pau Gasol trade to do so on record, and according to Sports Illustrated, Spurs' Coach Gregg Popovich did just that on Friday night.
"What they did in Memphis is beyond comprehension," said Popovich. "There should be a trade committee that can scratch all trades that make no sense. I just wish I had been on a trade committe that oversees NBA trades. I'd like to elect myself to that committee. I would have voted no to the L.A. trade."
When told that Wallace had challenged executives to criticize the deal publicly, Popovich replied, "Well, there you go. I'm on the record."
DONE.
^ I'd rather listen to Walton than your boy who picked the DENVER NUGGETS, who will never be good enough to be considered "done".
Doesn't compute.Quote:

DONE.
Smiff jumped on Billy for picking SA when he picked the Nuggets. I'm just saying your boy has no right to jump on anybody.
Oh and Glenn, even if the Spurs get knocked out in the playoffs this year doesn't mean they won't be back next year. That's been the trend with them.
I give them another 2 years or so.
Put it on the front page, the back page, any page you want.
Finito.
YOU WILL EAT YOUR WORDS!! JUST LIKE YOU DID ABOUT JAKE PEAVY!

Like I said (sorta), you can't use this season to determine if they're done (even if they fail to get back, which would be per the usual for them).
They have the same record right now as they did last year if not just a game better/worse.
