I listened to a great robocall on my parent's voicemail. A robotic voice urged them to call back immediately concerning urgent business, and ended with, "If you choose not to call back in a timely manner, I can only wish you luck in dealing with events as they unfold." Why can't I get cool scam calls like that?
Mine always disconnect after 2 rings. If I answer it just hangs up on me. Get like 6 a week.
The latest batch have started calling three times in the span of four minutes, imitating what a friend/family member would do if they were calling from an unknown number. Such devious tactics.

I suspect if the middle-schooler here takes down this post and never posts to Instagram or Facebook again, and the press never releases their name, this will still show up as a strike against them in adulthood. I must say that, from what I've researched of immigration and ethnicity, these commercials are perfect encapsulations of the superficial nature of ethnic identity in America. It is a costume you put on at your leisure and has no material importance to your life, such that it can be completely altered from the results of a fucking DNA test. (Also it's interesting how most of the people in these ads basically have personal boredom as their motivation for testing, except for the one featuring a light-skinned woman who did it because people kept asking her "What are you?" But whiteness studies weren't really my specialty so I have nothing useful to add to this observation.)
