Cuban?
Guy was a 4th quarter away from sweeping the finals after beating the Spurs (I think that was the same year). I don't like Dirk either and Cuban is an ass but he's gotten close.

Teams in financial trouble that Joe might be able to take advantage of

That chart shows Milwaukee as "safe" but they look fucked to me (they'll probably have to let Charlie V walk).
Denver is in a world of hurt, as is New Orleans. We've talked about the Wizards' trouble, too.
Nene or Chandler are definitely in play for Joe "King" Dumars.

I'm telling ya, that's the way to go. Take advantage of someone else's troubles.

And just because someone is safe from the tax (Indy,CHA) don't think they're safe from losing shitloads of cash and having owners who've lost their primary sources of income and can no longer subsidize their toys.

Interesting comment from that article re: Gasol trade

It's not going to be ugly for Memphis who was ridiculed last year for cutting salary aggressively and rebuilding with youth. Suddenly the lowly Grizzlies are looking to benefit from the salary dumps by other teams. Wouldn't it be interesting if the Grizzlies rebounded into competitiveness behind Rudy Gay, Mike Conley and possible Rookie of the Year O J Mayo when you throw in a lottery pick and a possible gift player from one of the teams desperate to unload salary and the Grizzlies Could be looking quite good a year from now when they have two more #1 picks.
Maybe Heisley and Wallace weren't so dumb after all.

Nene is a PF though, correct?
I wouldn't mind seeing us grab Chandler. He's a legit C that works down low. Exactly what everyone keeps saying they want to get. Think of him next to Bosh or Amare in a few years.

Nene can play center (he starts at center now with Kmart at PF). He plays almost exclusively around the basket. He's 6'11" tall so he has plenty of size.
I've watched a few Nuggets games this year of course and he's been a lot better than I thought. He catches almost everything thrown to him around the basket and he goes up strong. He could easily put up 16 and 9, which isn't shabby.
