Every frickin time I take my truck in the shop seems to need to change my seat settings. Every frickin one of them. The height, front back, lean, steering wheel, motha fuckas.
And then, AND THEN, they put my radio on a religious station. WTF?

Uncyclopedia, for the most part.
Your insurance doesn't cover that?
$500 deductible, so I'm better off paying cash. Insurance would have covered a repair, but the crack needed to be 4-5" max. Called a few glass companies and nobody wanted to do a repair of a 8-9" crack.
What a racket.
Every day there's like 5-10 trivial things that happen that make me think of this thread, but I never remember what they are when I'm here.
That sucks :D
I think I can speak for the board and say as long as your thinking of this wonderful, glorious place, the board has succeeded.
I was wrong Swam. I was saying don't call and all that, but this morning 5:30 or so I stopped to feed my buddies dog while he is in Hawaii. The dog wouldn't even move. He's 12 and I've known the dog and taken care of him most of life when my bud is gone. He's a great dog.
Anyway, not good this morning. So I called my buddy in Hawaii and it was 3am or something looking for what he wanted to do. So I did what I thought I wouldn't do. Granted, the dog didn't die. If he would have, I might not have called, but still.
Woke up feeling great and all of the sudden, fuckin sick. like flu like sick.
Pound Echinacea. Works wonders.
Never heard of it. Back in the day, it was simple sounding things like Chicken Noodle Soup or something.
The way I feel.
Its amazing how much energy it takes to open up a sliding door and let a dog out. Also, I had to drive over there.
Fluids. Lots of fluids. My dad used to tell me "piss out a virus" and he was 100% right about that. For some reason, staying hydrated makes it a lot easier to fight off a cold.
Also, stay away from alcohol for the time being. In my past I had to do a lot of public speaking, which is really rough on my throat. If I drank alcohol afterward, I was pretty much guaranteed to get a cold.
lol, I was sick this weekend but still drank a ton. But, as a caveat, I chugged a three liter jug of water on Saturday because I knew getting too dehydrated would make me miserable.
Felt like I was on a roller coaster this weekend. I'd feel just ok for a lil bit then I had to lay down. Close to chukin. I feel pretty good today though.
They always help.
I think it's still OK to sniff glue.
Almost had poopy pants that one day too.
^ TMI?
nope, just enough information.
I felt pretty good today, but did not workout.
Did you workout when you were sick? If so, you prolly didn't get the flu like I had it, imo.
No, I didn't have the flu, just a fairly bad head cold... worked out every day last week, although I think my lifts were a little less effective than usual.
I missed 3 days in the last week and feel like I have to start all over with my lifting.
loool
2 things....
1. Lil guy had a lymph node in his neck swell up like crazy today, almost looked like he had a baseball stuck in his neck or something. It didn't stick out quite that far, but probably 2 inches and it had the girth of a baseball. I mean, he's 3 yrs old, so relatively speaking, that's pretty huge considering it's pretty huge even for an adult. So we took him to the ER, thankfully nothing is really wrong other than that...
2. At the ER, after we were there for about an hour, there was a really bad car wreck and they brought 7 people in. 2 of them were screaming in agony non-stop. omg, I mean obviously it sucked more for them than me and I'm not trying to sound like a dick in saying this, but have any of you sat and listened to people scream in pain for an hour? It really sucks. One guy was in the next room so we could hear the docs talking let alone his screaming. It really upset the lil guy too when he had a needle in his arm, something that looked like a goiter on his neck, and was generally having a shitty day already.
Yeah, there's nothing worse than when shit happens to your kids.
#DadGuy
Wife has strep throat. It now becomes my job to be a human shield for the kids until her antibiotics kick in and render her uncontagious.
I will do this by locking her in a room.
i know im in the wrong here, and its a normal and social thing to do, but a pet peave of mine is people asking other people's weekend plans. unless someone routinely does awesome things every weekend, this is just a tedious, and frankly, nosey question to ask.
that is, unless your looking to do something. if your asking just to ask, dont.
imo.
weed killer that doesn't actually kill weeds -- ugh
Google's phasing out Google News Archive.

Tree came through the roof tonight during a thunderstorm and missed my son and I by about 5 feet.
The $500 deductible will hurt, but I feel blessed nonetheless.
Mini rapture.
Holy shit. Glad your son is ok.
Hmm.
Thanks Mxy.
Some classic moves by the insurance company. Of course they are pleased to confirm that I do indeed have a $500 deductible, which is my right to exercise by filing a claim. BUT I do need to know that by doing so, I'll be forefeiting a $450 annual discount that I've been getting for being claim-free for over 3 years. The loss of that $450 discount for the next 3 years = $1350, essentially making my deductible $1350 for this.
Tried to get 2 estimates today, but couldn't even get a call back on either.
I'm smelling about a $900 hit, and some additional water damage as I wait to get this fixed. FML.
