I went to the open practice today:
- Drummond was not that impressive -- seemed a bit lethargic overall
- Jennings wasn't suited up to play in the scrimmage, but seemed fluid
- Johnson is a baller. I can see why folks like him.
- Adonis was suited up to play, but did not
- Ilyasova took a nasty fall and was out for the rest of the game -- hunch is he'll be ok
- Dave Bing shook my hand. He shook everyone's hand.
Reggie made a speech to the crowd... giving off the true "team captain" vibe.
Reggie, KCP, Morris, Dinwiddie -- I want to see more of, am going to the game on Tuesday.
Have seen a couple interviews from Reggie, guy definitely talks like a leader.

SVG was wearing shorts. He certainly could've suited up for 36 seconds of scrimmage. For that matter, Tim Hardaway could've done so too...
Take a look at a couple of those. According to 538, everyone in the NBA has peaked. Like two guys in the whole league they expect to have slight, very slight, improvements. 538 is terrible for basketball stuff. All they do is throw baseball stats at it while everyone else is taking advantage of truly advanced basketball stats that take into account the positional tracking system every NBA arena has now.

I don't know who 538 is. I just thought naming the blog post or whatever it is "The Piston's might stop sucking so bad" was funny. At least Piston's fans have something to look forward to.
538 is the statistics shop run by Nate Silver, the statistician who predicted the last 2 presidential elections like dead on (not the guy Romney paid attention to, which is why he was the only guy who didn't know he had lost like months out). He used to work for the New York Times (so yeah, I'm not surprised you hadn't heard of him) but then ESPN hired him and let him do a nerd Grantland. They suck at basketball though and I don't think anyone on their staff actually watches it.

Not a single one, no. You usually get at least one, even if it's the other team's local broadcast, but nothing this year.
Not sure whats going on. You would think FSD would want to practice a telecast before the regular season starts.
