Bynum is a terrrible defender that's gotten exposed.
Even on their worst nights, Stuckey plays good defense and Bynum doesn't. That's a fact. No amount of hero worship is going to change it.
I was at the game, front row. Stuckey kept Baron under wraps until the BS fouls forced him out of the game.Quote:

Baron racked up 13 of his 25 points in the 15 minutes that Bynum wasn't on the court. That's Bynum's fault?
that's bull. Bynum got "exposed" by Baron Davis. The strongest PG in the game right now. He still defends the other 99 percent of PGs better because he can actually pressure them on D all the way up the court.Quote:

I get your points. So do a lot of guards whenever Bynum "pressures" them.
But you keep singing that tune.
And don't let the fact that you're off-key bother you one little bit.
Rock out with your cock out, dude.
Once more, with feeling...
Bynum was on the court for 33 minutes. Baron scored 12 points in that time.

Why are folks criticizing Bynum for not containing Baron, when Baron did over half his damage when Bynum wasn't even on the court?
Cause it's not all about how many points his opposite number scores, Mxy and you're smart enough to know that.
Things I wonder:
How many times did Baron abuse Bynum and then set up someone else for an easy shot?
How many times did Baron abuse Bynum, drawing a different defender and then he dished to someone else who swung the ball to an open man?
IF he's abusing Bynum or Stuckey (or anyone else for that matter) that shit matters. You blow your assignment and it impacts the whole squad.
But you know that Mxy. You're one of the smartest fuckers on here.

awesome.
Obviously, defense is to no small degree a team effort.Quote:

But, when I'm reading stuff like "Baron ISO'ed Bynum and shot over him every time" and I don't observe some burst in individual or team scoring that would reasonably accompany such an outburst (or see Bynum's minutes curtailed because he sucks), I get suspicious.
