Yea defense first preaching teams like the Celts, Cavs, Spurs, and Lakers are doomed.Quote:

In a perfect world, maybe, but this seems like one of those finesse moves that is executed when a GM knows he's done making trades for the year.Quote:

Pistons Acquire Conditional 2013 Second Round Draft Pick from the Los Angeles Clippers in Exchange for Alex Acker and 2011 Second Round Draft Pick
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Detroit Pistons President of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars announced today that the club has acquired a conditional second round draft pick in the 2013 NBA Draft from the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for guard Alex Acker and its 2011 second round draft pick.
Acker, 26, appeared in six games with the Pistons this season averaging 1.5 points and 0.3 rebounds in 3.3 minutes per game. Drafted in the second round (#60 overall) in the 2005 NBA Draft, Acker played in five games during the 2005-06 campaign averaging 1.8 points and 1.0 rebounds in 7.0 minutes per game. He scored a career-high four points in a career-high 18 minutes at Milwaukee (4/17/06) that season. He spent the 2007-08 season overseas with FC Barcelona averaging 6.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 30 games.
Sweet! We are all set in 2013.
So who's got the appreciation thread?
According to RealGM, the 2013 pick from the Clippers is top 55 protected. There's no protection on the 2011 2nd rounder we're sending to the Clippers.
