From Zeblocksports on Sirius Satellite Radio:
Reportedly the Suns have offered Amare/Barbosa/Tucker for Sheed/Prince/Afflalo.
I don't have a link unfortunately, because it was on the radio. I did find the same thing on the suns board that i post on.
personally, I think it puts Phoenix in absolute win-now mode (as if the Shaq for Marion trade didn't already). It does improve their pick and roll defense with Sheed. Also, prince brings some nice perimeter defense. Both carry finals experience. Afflalo is a nice piece to build around in the future. They'd have somewhat of a logjam on the wings with Hill/Barnes/Prince/Richardson/Afflalo all looking for minutes. They also lose the closest thing they have to a backup pg in Barbosa.
For Detroit, their offense becomes a lot scarier. They also look a little better for the future, as Amare and Barbosa are both pretty young. barbosa/Hamilton off the bench would be something to worry about, no doubt. They would rely a lot on McDyess defensively. Also, i have no clue what they'd plan to do at SF. With afflalo and Prince gone, Herman is the only SF left on the roster. Tucker is more of a SG, and he has been a bench warmer/d-leaguer his whole career. That's the only reason i question the trade.
Anyway, take that for what it's worth. BTW, Phoenix is the team that reportedly offered the trade.
