John McCain took heat for saying the fundamentals of our economy are strong...explaining that he was talking about the worker etc.
Gibbs, in an oh shit moment imo, when quetioned about the administrations talking point last week about the economy being strong...said..."The fundamentals are SOUND. There's a difference.
LMAO
I'm not sure what you're saying? There is a big difference, no?
Between Sound and Strong? Not for me.
Really? On a scale of 1-10 sound is 4, strong is 8-9, yes?
Y'all crack me up...and I thank for that.
BO, his team, y'all made such a fuckin deal out of JM saying that, but its crickets now. Thats a huge difference. Much larger than the difference between sound and strong.
I believe there's a distinction between "sound" and "strong". It's a compromise, trying to come across as guardedly hopeful, but not foolish. That said, I don't think that many of our economic fundamentals are either "sound" or "strong".
You couldn't really expect for it to be treated equally when one was said by a presidential candidate in the heat of a historic race and the other was uttered by a mouthpiece in a ordinary press conference.
^ Yes I could.
