I'd say it's the tactics rather than the message that is giving some groups of people a bad name. Like PETA. Sure we could have better conditions for animals and shit, but dumping paint on people and promoting "Sea Kittens" just makes you look loony.

When it's come to politics lately, my impression of most anti-Obama folk is that they're so filled with hate and rage that even if he cured cancer and solved world hunger they wouldn't be able to admit he did some good. I'm not all happy with what he is doing, just saying that many people's message is lost due to the language of their arguement.
