Does Ginsburg goeth before a fall?
I happened to be listening to the press conference on the radio.
I thought the guy was as rude as Trump.
I had no idea that I was missing so much by not seeing the video.
If this is really doctored... sheesh.
In much the same manner that I'm generally against civil and criminal charges for the same act, I'm against federal and state charges for the same act.

Look at the penalties that didn't happen for people on the wrong side of "justice". For all the riots resulting from the initial Rodney King verdict (mentioned in the article), nothing happened to the prosecution who failed to get a verdict. The junior DA who failed here is still around doing his thing. The senior DA who should've taken the case personally was replaced by someone equally incompetent at high-profile cases (just ask OJ). One of Rodney King's jurors got engaged to him -- I guess a few million dollars makes for some nice beer goggles, but that's fucked.
Using double jeopardy as a way of masking a fucked-up legal system's inadequacies is bullshit, in my book, because it doesn't lead to fixing the bullshit that got people there in the first place. If you're going to prosecute, choose jurisdiction and type of crime carefully. Fix your fucked-up complexities and bullshit before inflicting it upon others repeatedly.
The Democratic Virginia Governor crap just boggles me.
How the fuck does someone make it through a dozen years of high-profile elected politics before someone digs up their yearbook?
No one did opposition research? Really?
Oh, as someone who worked on a yearbook, I can't imagine some KKK blackface picture would've even been published in the '80s.
Doesn't look good for whoever the editor of that yearbook is.
How the heck did Trudeau's blackface not get exposed until now?
Prince Harry dresses as a Nazi and that's immediate news.
Weird.
Oh, and on a different note -- http://www.donald2024.com
Liberals don't care what liberals do. They even go as far as to make excuses for their behavior. They only have faux outrage when Conservatives do it.
I don't get Sanders lack of appeal with blacks. The guy was arrested for protesting segregation. He was there when MLK gave "I Have A Dream". This isn't about "lied about civil rights marches" Biden. Before he stopped his run, "stop and frisk" Bloomberg was leading Sanders with blacks. This isn't about "most likely to beat Trump". Until South Carolina, Sanders would usually have the biggest margin of victory in polls against Trump, even post-heart attack. He'd certainly raised the most money apart from the self-funding billionaires.
But then again, I expected Kamala Harris to be in the lead by now, so what do I know.
Biden seems like a nice guy, but I don't see anyone being excited to vote _for_ him unless he knocks it out of the park with a VP choice. He biffed what is still the most important vote of the 21st century, permitting Dubya to invade the wrong damn country. He was tapped as the establishment guy for VeePee to counterbalance the audacity of Barack Obama being black. He's just as big a gaffe machine as Trump, which probably masks cognitive decline. Judging by how his cell phone spooks him, he's a tech illiterate. Yeah.... that's the dog-faced pony soldier we need.

America is mother to Israel?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/natio...a62_story.htmlQuote:
Most politicians go to great lengths to conceal their dirty laundry.
And then there’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Over the years, the Israeli leader has developed a reputation among the staff at the U.S. president’s guesthouse for bringing special cargo on his trips to Washington: bags and suitcases full of dirty laundry, according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter.
The clothes are cleaned for the prime minister free of charge by the U.S. staff, a perk that is available to all foreign leaders but sparingly taken advantage of given the short stays of busy heads of state.
“The Netanyahus are the only ones who bring actual suitcases of dirty laundry for us to clean,” said one U.S. official, who like others spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the details of a foreign leader’s visits. “After multiple trips, it became clear this was intentional.”
Israeli officials denied that Netanyahu overuses his American hosts’ laundry services, calling the allegations “absurd,” but they acknowledged that he has been the target of laundry-related accusations in the past.
In 2016, Netanyahu sued his own office and Israel’s attorney general in an effort to prevent the release of his laundry bills under the country’s freedom of information act. The judge sided with Netanyahu, and the details of his laundry bills remain secret pending an appeal in the Supreme Court.
A fly won the VP debate, apparently.

POVALIKHINO, Russia — With election day looming, Nikolai Loktev was in a panic: The mayor of a tiny village of log houses, wood-burning stoves and rutted dirt roads 300 miles east of Moscow, he was running for re-election unopposed.
In a Western democracy, this would not necessarily set off alarms; it might even be welcomed. But in Russia, where elections are rigged and the ruling United Russia party virtually always wins, the bedrock political principle is to create the illusion of democratic choice.
For that, Mr. Loktev needed an opponent.

The tech companies turning off Trump and other social media outfits on their own won't end well.
It's one thing if, in response to credible complaints of unlawful activity violating their TOS, unlawful activity is found, and service is shut off.
Trump could've been shut off ~4 years ago when his Tweets were deemed to be part of the Presidential Records Act, but he'd still delete 'em.
Credible people reported that to Twitter at the time, kept on reporting all throughout, but Twitter never responded despite ample evidence.
The Parler dismantlement games, though, seems like the gay couple getting their wedding cake from a fundamentalist bakery, writ large.
We want our social media companies to be neutral, except when we don't. Of course, the social media companies themselves aren't neutral.
Fun fun fun...
It's state controlled speech at some point.
Whatever you want to call it, it’s some crazy shit that I never thought I’d see in my lifetime.
So Pence, who probably didn’t have Trumps back like a lot thought, says no 25th so impeachment.
Should be fun.
Democrats did an end run on prohibiting free speech by using Big Tech to do it for them.
Not trying to start a fight. They were smart.
I got my final heave hoe from twitter after losing tons of followers last week. Lost 12k last week. Conservatives got hit hard. Lost income from it too. Don’t really care tho. The blog I worked for was deplatformed. We’re back now but not nearly the following.
Yes conservative voices were silenced but in the end it was really free speech that was the biggest loser imo.
Cocaine Mitch likely to vote for impeachment. lol
I largely agree with Tahoe, here. Really.
Having said that, this amuses me:

So that impeachment thing. House did their thing. Up to the Senate now.
Why impeach when he’s leaving? Cuz you friggin hate that mofo with every fiber of your body or so he can never run again?
I believe the constitution reads that ‘if removed from office, you can no longer hold office’ or some shit like that.
Technically he won’t be removed from office cuz the Senate won’t vote till after he’s left. ???
Not sure about that tho.
Great.../s A big declass coming. Get a text hoping I’ll work a little more.
I’m spent. Let someone else read through all that shit. I’ll be glad to just read the highlights for a change.
There was already a past non-presidential impeachment under way, where the guy retired to try and bypass the impeach, and the Senate at the time ruled that was BS. There's already precedent for kicking a guy on the way out the door.
Trump will campaign for 2024, whether he actually wants to run or not, because Trump Nation will give him free money. If you're a Republican wanting to run for President in 2024, you don't want Trump sucking up money and oxygen that'd go to you. If he can't run for office again, he can't campaign the way he has. If you're running for office earlier, you need to make a call about how much you need/don't need Trump Nation to win key races.
If not Trump, who's your front runners for the Republican candidate in 2024?
