I crack up every time I see that Hardball movie.
I talked to my friend about it... he said if you don't go in expecting much you can appreciate it for the comicality presented by all the ridiculous suicides. I will probably watch it once for that.
Quoted for fucking truth. Seriously, how in God's name is he landing parts in every third major movie?? Ridiculous, and made more so if you remember him from Even Stevens on the fucking Disney Channel.Quote:

I watched Blades of Glory for the first (and last) time last night.
I knew as soon as I saw Ben Stiller's name in the opening credits that it was going to be dog barf, and he didn't fail to deliver.
There was one line that had me laughing almost to the point of tears, though.
WE LOVE YOU DENVER!!
CITY BY THE BAY
JOHN DENVER

He zipped his balls up for a movie laugh. You can't say he isn't into his work.
Some Stiller is good... Heavyweights for instance.
Stiller was a producer, and not otherwise in the movie.Quote:

i actually thought Blades of Glory was pretty decent, maybe becuase I never realized how big of a rack pam from the office had until that movie...
So today I saw Kung Fu Panda with my somewhat gf (working on it), and I gotta tell you, for a Disney/Jack Black production, it was damn good, it dominated the ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, so if you have kids, I'd totally recommend it...
and I also watched 'Joy Ride' on FX, which was stupid
I usually enjoy the Pixar and such flicks, but was afraid Kung Fu would suck because of Jack Black. So that's not the case?
how was get smart with the rock and steve carrel?(sp)

Believe it or not, I actually watched Superbad for the first time today...couldn't stop laughing at the part with the dick drawings. Was awesome in the beginning and became a little "meh" after that, but overall was as funny, if not funnier, than I expected.
WALL-E just got the best reviews I've ever seen. Straight A's accross the board. Maybe I'll have to take a look at it.
And Gutz will be happy to know that Wanted got pretty good reviews as well.
Fuck reviews, the movie was the most surprising entertainment i've had, more even than Motown's surprise feeling of 300. Never has a movie with so many "that's complete bullshit" action sequences been so fun to watch. I may have to check out the graphic novel now. This movie may have even beat out iron man(the violence always wins i guess).

The graphic novel (with super villains winning over the good guys) is pretty different than the movie, but still quite enjoyable in its own way.
Wall-E = A++++, Highest Rating
I'll tell you what, having seen Kung Fu Panda and now Wall-E in two consecutive weekends, Disney is on a fucking roll...
the film is almost like it's aimed at adults, tremendous philosophy and IMO, one of Disney's masterpieces...
I feel like a child again...
Pixar is the Michael Jordan of the film industry...
they're making Toy Story 3 you know...
I've been wanting to see Into The Wild for a while now, but the fucking video store nearby sucks and has nothing... gonna hit up Blockbustahhh later today probably.
Isn't that like that documentary type movie, SDB???
It's based off a book that is based off a real person.
Yea I skimmed through the graphic novel, The movie is based on 1/4 of first issue in the series. Not the worst idea, stretching shorter stories(ala 300) seems to work out better than cramming longer stories(ala phoenix saga in X3) into the pot.Quote:

Just got done watching Machine Girl.
Can't rate it, doing something like that wouldn't make sense. Much like trying to understand the supreme overkill of graphic beyond graphic violence. I will say that I found it to be hilarious. But when somebody gets shot so many times in the face all you see is their skeleton still getting shot in the face, you gotta applaud the sick fuck willing to go that extra 100 miles past the most violent american film.
So you're saying we should watch it? I have no idea where to find it, but when I do its a priority.Quote:

but be warned- there are about 3 or 4 shots of full frontal MALE nudity. NO female nudity but male nudity. it was disturbing the first time it happened but at least i thought that there would be some frontal female nudity coming but none.
there is a shot of mila flashing her chest but nothing to make up for having to see the naked dude.
And it's not really Mila's chest, fyi.
I'm thinking about checking out "Step Brothers" this weekend, anybody got a good read on it?
looks like its funny to me, but i don't know for sure, i'll probably see it though.
saw hancock and wanted. both films that i dont regret watching.
I know I'm real late to the party, but I just watched Sin City for the first time. Pretty cool flick, I'd give it a 8.5 or 9 out of ten.
Watched Se7en last night for the first time in a while. Forgot how bad ass the movie was. I'll admit, the ending did creep me out a bit.
is seven a horror movie? ive been wanting to check it out but never got a chance
