Hello,
The clock is an Advance Model 3139. None of the pictures I've found on the Internet show what this one looks like, so here's my own photograph:

As you can see, it has a power cord, which I do not use. While the clock could run off of the cord, it also works using only the battery. However, doing this means the LCD display is not lit, which is certainly the reason for the battery's longevity.
It runs on a Rayovac Maximum Plus alkaline battery. Here is a picture showing the expiration date:

Thank you for your interest.

Thanks Mr Oo.
Can I purchase the battery separately or are they being sold as a set?
Fellow mods, please move to Battery Talk. Thanks!
Unfortunately, this item is not for sale. Furthermore, I do not wish to remove the battery, as I fear it will disturb whatever dark magic has kept it powering the clock. If it lasts a few years longer, I am considering offering this set to the Smithsonian Institute as an example of the best that modern consumer culture has to offer. Thanks again!
Some of these are pretty good...

Watched the censored/tv version of Fargo last night on Vice. Had me wondering why the rest of the Coen bros stuff just falls so short in comparison.
Just plucked a random nose hair that was like 3/4" long.
