I think you can shut off auto-play on ESPN, but as soon as you click a story that has a video to it, it seems the next time you come back, AP is on again or some shit like that.

Yes, extremely the suck. Detnews is a real bad one, don't they realize people are trying to read this stuff at work?

You can get adblockplus as a plugin for Firefox (and I think chrome...) and then manually block them if you need to. The videos will still play at first but then there's a little flag that pops up and you can click 'block' and it will block vids from that site from then on.

NoScript for Firefox blocks that suck
