I've never been a Clint Eastwood fan and as a director I think he over sentimentalizes the films of his that I've seen. Of course, he doesn't usually do films I care to see so that's not a large library.
John Wayne is the shit.

My parents saw Borat and said it was the worst movie they have ever seen. Granted this is coming from two people in their 60's with zero sense of pop culture. My mom added "at least the popcorn was good, but it was really expensive".
As an additional point of reference, my dad thinks the best movie made in the past decade or so is Barbershop. He also enjoyed Barbershop 2.
I hope this review is helpful.
Anyone seen presitge or saw3 yet? Good bad?
Saw 3 was a complete waste of time. I did like the first one a lot, second one was OK, but they really should have stopped there. In the last 30 minutes when the suspense is supposed to be building I was looking around, checking my phone, wondering how much longer it was gonna be, etc etc.Quote:

Boondock Saints--10/10.
Just an amazing movie. Go see it, and keep saying "Is it dead?" three weeks after you've seen it.
Hostel--0/10.
See my 5 a.m. thread in WTFCentral.
Fight Club--10/10.
I had to watch it 3 times before I truly understood how amazing of a movie it was.
Wedding Crashers--9/10.
Really well-done, although it missed in a few scenes. And Rachel McAdams...eh.
Jackass 2--9/10.
The second skit in the movie (fan sign) is the funniest. Steve-O and the leech made me look away. The fishhook is disgusting. I still enjoyed the movie a lot. Funnier than No. 1 IMO.
I've seen all those within a few weeks.
one of the few movies that never bores me. Its a pinnacle for David Fincher as a director.Quote:

I just saw Sin City for the first time over the weekend, (I know, I've been a little busy) and I thought it was frickin' sweet. Loved the comic book feel, and it was non-stop graphic action. My favorite character was Elijah Wood's Charlie Brown/Freddy Krueger hybrid. I'd say 9/10.

And uh....oh yeah...Jessica Alba was some nice eye candy too.
yea mickey rourke stole the show for me. Dude was hilarious.
I liked that hot redhead, though, enough to find out that her name is Isla Fisher.Quote:
