I knew :we: 'd win this one.
I knew :we: 'd win this one.
That was a good game. This is going to sound cliche (and stupid), but that felt like a playoff game.
Did we trade Rip yet?
Great win!!! We've beaten 3 of the best 4 teams in the league (arguably 4 of the best 5 if you count the Spurs).
Somehow, some way, someone HAS to convince Rip and Curry that Rip should come off the bench. We're a better team playing conventional basketball the whole game. Have Stuckey, Iverson, Prince, Amir, and Sheed start, with Rip, Dice, Maxiell, and Afflalo as the rotation off the bench.
I was going to say it had that kind of intensity.Quote:

^ I knew Rip was going to be in that post.
*edit*
Tahoe knew he had to edit that.
Tahoe's connection to the team is, you know...
But did you knew it?Quote:

What are you talking about, Wil? You always pay attention. To everything.
Wil pays peeps to pay attention for him.

Dont mind tahoe, if he likes a guy, he can do no wrong ever. With that said Sheed had a great outside of trying to get a tech all night.
Tru Warrier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Quote:
"Dice was great," Curry said. "When we've got him and Sheed on the floor at the same time, it is tough for any team to double anyone, because it means a great shooter is going to have an open shot."
McDyess was injured in a three-way collision with Stuckey and Courtney Lee.
"It was horrible -- when I was laying on the court, I was just trying to get my breath back," he said. "It hurt, but I didn't even think about not coming back. I knew they needed me."
Though i dont believe we are trading Rip like some here do, i do think Curry may switch things up again and keep doing so all year. I think we'll have adapting alternating starting lineups based on matchup. I think Stuckey will be the glue keeping Iverson and Rip both consistent no matter what their roles are on a given night.

Curry said he wasn't sure what he will do with his starting lineup when Hamilton is ready to return. Detroit had been using a three-guard offense, but has gone back to a more traditional two-guard setup while he has been sidelined.
If you've been reading Langlois, he contends that there isn't any sense in bringing Rip or AI off the bench because they are going to be on the floor together at crunch time anyways, so they might as well learn to play together.
I'm struggling with that concept, because as much as it makes sense, it's very difficult to watch the work in progress.
I think the bottom line is that there is simply too much duplication between AI, Rip and Stuckey.
19 shots for Stuckey is interesting.
Also interesting is the fact that despite people here bagging on AI's defense, it's the last two games, without Rip, that :we:'ve played some of "our" best defense of the year. (based on opponents' season scoring averages)
Anybody know the name of the song that is played right before tipoff at the Palace? It's bugging me...
APRIL IN THE D
APRIL IN THE D
APRIL IN THE D
Anybody else?
No it's not "Let's Get it Started." No more help from Glenn.

I've heard those too. But those songs aren't the one I've been hearing in the five games I've been to this season. Oh well.
