I have found Storyteller's site to be very useful and accurate.
They just updated for 08/09 too.

Google says it's early Wednesday morning there right now, so it could be a bit. Regardless, I'll be checking in tonight to make my pick on time.Quote:

Even though Lax's time is up, I'm fine with waiting until he picks. I'll be able to get my pick (#12) in before 9 tomorrow, so we won't be behind at all.
According to his draft thread, I imagine he'll be ecstatic to see Westbrook still on the board and nab him.
that will probabyl be his pick^
and where do you announce trades?
I just did it here last time, and since I'm here, I'll just go ahead and do it.Quote:

After being shocked by Indiana's selection of Alexander, the Grizz's #12 pick is available for trade. Westbrook, who many considered the top PG after Rose in the draft, is still available.
If I can't make a deal by 9 this morning, I won't hold things up and I'll go ahead and make my pick.
Thanks for waiting - I got confused with what time I had to be online, and in the end concentrated too much on the Pistons pick and completely forgot...
Anyway, I liked Alexander from the 3min I saw of him one game, so picked him ahead of Westbrook - but I'm happy with that trade... it makes more sense than my drafting theory ;)
(fucking dunleavy...)
I believe I have another trade to announce, and it's kind of a weird one.
Memphis (defrocked) and Indiana (Laxation) have agreed to the following trade:
Memphis trades:
Pick #12
Indiana trades:
Draft rights to Pick #11, Joe Alexander
I PM'd him asking about his glut at SF with Dunleavy, Granger and now Alexander, and he realized he wanted a do-over on the pick, essentially. So I move up a spot to grab Alexander, and he saves a couple bucks and takes his PG a spot later.
I still dont understand the Miami/Philly trade last year...Quote:

Gotta go what you gotta do to excel at fake drafting.
Are we just chilling out on the time slots for a while and see how this thing comes along naturally?
No, they should have drafted. I'm having trouble getting back to this right now (our company is moving to another city in the area Friday so I am torn in many directions right now).
Maybe we should now call this the "WTF User NBA Mock Draft, featuring Chad Ford"
This was a big day for lospistones, too.
3 of the 6 picks.
And he's on the clock again.
He better have a good explination for this.
OK, this sucks balls. I had a trade all set up for this next pick (Toronto's 17th). There was one minor detail to it that lospistones didn't get back to me with.
I'm ready to pick whenever lospistones picks for the Raptors.
We may want to update the picks on the first page after trades have been made, to avoid any confusion later on.
Updated to reflect trades.
This is accurate as far as I can tell, but let me know if I missed any trades.

You missed Hermy and me swaping picks, but no biggie since they already passed.
BTW, how does Seattle have Denver's pick? Did I miss something?
I've got both my picks today already set (depending on who is taken).
Well, we're about 6 hours ahead of schedule, which is nice.
Hermy's got the next two picks, so whenever he's ready, there's no real reason to stop.
yeah, it would be nice to keep going and end it early.
How's it going, Herms?
Updated to reflect Toronto/Minnesota trade.
I hope you have Monday open, lospistones.

Wizzle is up with New Orleans
Ledezma - Sacramento
ON THE CLOCK
Take your time, I'm guessing that we won't be seeing Laxation for a while.
How was that trade allowed? Craig Smith can't be traded. He's going to be a free agent.Quote:

That is as much on the player and his agent as it is for the GM.
I think you should only be able to trade players that can actually be traded. If everyone disagrees, then I'll just make my picks and keep my mouth shut. :)
Uh oh.
I had a feeling that allowing trades had the potential to backfire.
You make some great points there, shags.
I think we have to disallow this trade on those grounds.
Anyone disagree?
He's restricted, you can sign and trade those guys. This trade is legitimate.
The hard part for me is assuming that Smith would be willing to go along with it. That's a pretty big leap.
As a restricted free agent, starting July 1 he can go out and sign an offer sheet with another team and then it's up to Minny to match, not match or work out a sign and trade with that other team.
Also, the free agency signing period hasn't begun yet, so it couldn't even happen now, if I am not mistaken.
Again, I'm no expert, so I may have some details wrong here, but I think that is the crux of the problem.
