His inconsistency was part of the reason he was available.
Note that Hayes is getting his career numbers.
My take on Herrmann is that if he's given consistent minutes, he'll produce as Tay's backup, but that's more a gut feeling than anything. Hayes D is bad (but not totally horrible), so when his shot isn't falling, there isn't much else there.
all he does is shoot jumpers. of course he's gonna be inconsistent.

Pistons sign Walter Herrmann to 1-year deal
By VINCE ELLIS • FREE PRESS SPORTS WRITER • August 1, 2008
The Pistons have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with backup Walter Herrmann.
The 6-foot-9 small forward was an unrestricted free agent and salary information was not disclosed.
The Pistons acquired Herrmann last season from the Charlotte Bobcats as part of the trade that shipped out center Nazr Mohammed.
Herrmann, a 29-year-old Argentine, appeared in only 28 games for the Pistons, but the team likes his size, toughness and three-point ability. He averaged 7.1 minutes and 3.0 points per game for Detroit.
Me too. He'll get more PT because I don't think Sharpe is ready yet.

haha V. Nice catch. Sharpe probably isn't ready, but I still hope he sees a little time at SF this year. We'll see how he looks in the preseason.
Holy crap, that's probably coming up soon. What, like 2 months away?

I wouldn't be surprised if Valter's done some porn work.
The Fabio Dunk just happened.

you all know that story about Walter, right? i am glad he's back
He lost everyone damn near, and has nothing left but basketball in a sense. I said it way back, you have to root for someone who plays through that to find his way.Quote:

Didn't he get married like a year later? I remember thinking he got over his finance' (who he calls his "girlfriend") pretty quick.
Gotta be terrible to lose so many people all at once.

Posted Nov 21 2008 11:42AM
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Detroit Pistons forward Walter Herrmann was released from a Boston hospital Friday after suffering a mild concussion in a game against the Boston Celtics.
Herrmann, who spent Thursday night at the hospital, is listed as day-to-day. The Celtics won 98-80.
He is averaging 4.5 points and 2 rebounds in 10 games this season.
Signed a 2yr deal with Tau Ceramica
Tis a sad day
How much €?
He is seriously one of the least gay Euro players. He gets shit done quietly and without fucking whining all the time. I consider myself a fan and I hope he does well wherever he goes.
Agreed.Quote:
