I had zero support the last 2 years when it came to this subject, I'm still not quite sure what to think about this.
It feels like a trap.
#1 - I ain't one of Glenn's cronies.Quote:

If they haven't shown much by the end of their 3rd season it's time to move 'em on.
Obviously Stuckey has shown a lot, so I'm all for keeping the dude. I never said I didn't like him, or that I thought he was crap or whatever.
I'm quite happy we've got him and I'm pretty sure everyone else is too.
The debate isn't about him as a player - the question is "Is he or isn't he a PG""
Didn't mean to offend, P. I was just stating my position.
I think the subject has been debated to death, that's all I'm saying. I think he can be a good combo guard with the right backcourt pairing, but I also think with a lot of work he could succeed as a big PG. It will just take more time to do that. Learning the PG position is the hardest position to learn in the NBA, and it's even harder when you've never played that spot in your life.
ALL DONE. I'M NOT COMMENTING ON THIS AGAIN FOR AT LEAST THE REST OF THE SEASON.
(Sorry to call you a crony - I wasn't actually referring to you or anyone in particular for that matter)
I didn't get offended, man - just stating my case.
I realise that because GD is here all the time and always posting that anyone who agrees with his actual position (right now Stuckey ain't a pg) might get thrown in to the same group.
That's basically my position - although I wonder if we're hurting the kid by not letting him be "all he can be" in his natural position/role.Quote:

^I basically agree with you, MoTown and P. It's not a debate as much as it is just wanting others to at least understand my position on Stuckey, even if they won't agree.
Everyone can agree that the guy can ball and get to the hoop like nobody's business. I think over the last few games the shot has been clicking as well. His rebounding numbers are superb, and even the assists are improving. It just seems premature to say that he isn't a PG, IMO. I think we should hold off until the end of this season to make that judgment.
I predict that he ends the season averaging around 17.5 PPG, 6.7 assists, and 7 rebounds, and that's my conservative estimate. The high end would be something like 19 PPG, 7.2 assists, and 7.5 rebounds, IMO. The first prediction is one I feel pretty safe with.
Atty, I'm with you for the most part, but those numbers are pretty bold. Seriously, 17.5/6.7/7 as a conservative estimate?? Those are like HOF type numbers! I hope he can do it but really??? If he goes 17/6/4 I'd be ecstatic!
If Stuckey can average 17ppg, 6rebs and 5 asts I will be stunned.
Ain't no way he does it. NONE!
That's my prediction lol
I know I've said that I don't read into stats this early in the year, but here are his currents:
16.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists
He's not really far away, all things considered. Just find the open man a few more times a game and he's there, right?
I think it's a given that the points will creep up a little bit now that the shot is falling more consistently, rebounds will stay around the same. The question is, can he keep netting around 6 assists or more per game, as he has recently?
Points may be harder to come by once Rip gets back. I'm less concerned about absolute #s than I am about ratios -- FG%, 3P%, assist to TO, rebound rate, etc.Quote:
