It just wasn't that funny. I fell asleep watching it. It felt like a pilot for a TV series based off a much-better movie.

I finally got around to watching The Fly last night/this morning. It was good! The imagery is gross and Jeff Goldblum sells the gradual transformation of his body and mind effectively. The anti-cult themes perhaps made themselves a bit too obvious, and the former boyfriend character went through some jarring shifts in how sympathetically he was portrayed, but overall it was appropriately horrific.

Nice review, Mr. Oobir! Might be the longest movie review we've ever had in the WTFDetroit Movie Review Thread.

We need more reviews of 30 year old movies.

I have a big stack of unwatched DVDs on my shelf, so maybe that request will come true.
