The Pentagon guy in the briefing said they want to wait for Hansie to get back to earth first...and the rest of the shuttle crew one would presume. Hansie shits missiles, so i don't think it would have much of an effect on him.
The are planning on this shoot down sometime in early March.
I had that once, penicillin cleared it right up.Quote:

I'm surprised these things don't have some sort of out-of-band remote control self destruct mechanism.
They should have drunk as fuck Hasselhoff burp at it. The shockwave wil blow it to Mars.

I'll have to ask about that.
what are the chances of us actually hitting it? this should definitly be an alpaca line.
anyone feeling this as being a little cold war esque? uhh... im thinking if the ruskies and their commie buddies in china were better bffs with the US we wouldnt give to shits about how many people this thing potentially is going to kill.
I watched the presser. It looked pretty legit to me, but (I know, I know) I'm a Bush supporter.
Seriously, if it landed in a populated area, the hydrozine would almost definately kill some peeps, let alone the impact.
They are trying to wait till it starts to drop into some pretty serious gravity so all the pieces will pretty much come straight down or something.
I'm sure there are plenty of Pentagon Generals with boners about being able to shoot this thing down, but I think its the right thing to do/attempt too.
